TCW New America Premier Equities Fund Ranked Top Fund in Multi Cap Core Funds Category According to Lipper Data

LOS ANGELES – February 20, 2018 – The TCW Group, a global asset management firm, today announced that for calendar year 2017, the TCW New America Premier Equities Fund (TGUSX/TGUNX) ranked first out of over seven hundred funds in the Multi Cap Core Funds category according to data aggregated by The Lipper Rating System.  For the year ended December 31, 2017, the Fund returned 38.04% versus the Russell 1000, the Fund’s benchmark index, which returned 21.69%.

The TCW New America Premier Equities Fund, managed by Portfolio Manager Joseph Shaposhnik, seeks to outperform the broad U.S. indices in both rising and falling markets with less risk and volatility. The Fund utilizes unique insight gleaned from comprehensive analysis of Environmental, Social and Governance performance to successfully invest in predictable businesses that generate free cash flow.
